Scottie joined the angels of heaven surrounded by family and friends as he received last rights on May 17, 2012. His and his wife's mom, Lillian and Donna, were in heaven waiting to hug him.

He left many on this earth to mourn his loss including his wife, Karen, and his dad, Dick (Judy), who was his best friend. Also his sisters, Ann (Tim) Eakin and Cheryl (Scott) Wilson; his beloved "niecies" Rachel, Courtney, Megan, Tiffany, Amanda, Emily and Beatrice and his nephew, Justin; his special Uncle Mike, Uncle Bill, Aunt Sally and Aunt Julie. His friends are too numerous to count, but special thanks to Larry, Tim and Bill.

Scott was way too young at 50 to leave us, but he would want us to celebrate his life, not mourn his passing.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Heritage Barn (5238 Young Rd., Stow, Ohio). Bring your fishing pole, something to drink and be ready for some great "Scottie" stories. Dinner will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the celebration.

We cannot praise the Akron City Hospital ICU team enough, especially our angel, Sam Hutchinson, RN. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be sent in Scott's memory to the Summa Foundation, 525 E. Market, Akron, OH 44304.
